Boynton Beach Club Shows the Write Stuff to Aid in VBM Re-Enrollement

A full house comprised of 25-30 volunteers turned out on Saturday, May 9 at the Delray office of the Palm Beach County Democratic Party to write postcards to be sent to registered Democratic voters urging them to vote by mail.

Organized by the Greater Boynton Beach Democrats and leaders of Zone 10 and 11, the impressive turnout made short work of the task at hand, finishing more than an hour ahead of the planned three-hour session. Some volunteers who turned up around the 90-minute mark found there was little left to do but mail out the hundreds of completed postcards.

A number of the volunteers pressed Joan Katz, president of the The Democratic Club of Greater Boynton Beach, on when the next such session would take place. Katz said plans were already in the works for another one in June. Details will be forthcoming on the PBCDP website soon.

Organizers of the event credit the large turnout to the mounting disgust with the un-American policies of Govenor DeSantis and the President and the realization that Democrats have a real opportunity to make significant gains in the midterm elections that are now less than six months away.
